The Hunger Games dan Bridesmaid Bersaing Di MTV Movie Awards 2012

Beberapa waktu terakhir ini, bioskop dipenuhi dengan deretan film berkualitas dengan pendapatan yang juga tinggi. Sebut saja The Hunger Games dan Bridesmaid yang berhasil masuk jajaran box office. Maka tak heran jika dua film ini juga bersaing dan merajai nominasi yang ada di 12 kategori MTV Movie Awards 2012. Dua film ini yang masing-masing mendapat delapan nominasi, bertarung di empat nominasi yang sama, yaitu Movie of The Year, Best Female Performance, Breakthrough Performance, dan Best Cast.

BridesMaids

Untuk ajang kali ini, akan ada beberapa perubahan dan kejutan yang terjadi. Yang pertama adalah list nominee dipilih oleh para pakar film yang terdiri atas aktor, produser, agen, dan pelaku industri film, bukan lagi melalui pilihan publik yang didapat dari voting online. Para artis yang masuk nominasi Best Male Performance dan Best Female Performance yang didominasi oleh para pemain muda berbakat.

Penyerahan trofi Golden Popcorn akan digelar di Gibson Amphitheatre, Universal City, 3 Juni mendatang. Sementara itu, line voting untuk memilih juaranya sudah dibuka sejak 1 Mei 2012.
